Caen - Is the best port to come into. It takes aproximately 6 hours from Caen ferry port. Le Havre - It takes about 6 hours to drive from Le Havre. From Le Havre follow signs to Paris which will take you along the E05. At Paris, follow signs for the E05 (A10) to Orléans and Bordeaux. This road will take you through Orléans, Tours, Poitiers and Niort. At Junction 35 Saintes/Royon/Angoulême), turn off towards Cognac on the E603 (N141).

Take the N141 to Angouleme after 5 miles (just before Jarnac where they are doing major road works) you come to a roundabout. Take Segonzac/Mainxe D736 exit. Follow the road around to the right, and at the you will arrive at a crossroad with a water tower on the right hand side - turn left onto the D10 at this crossroad (see signpost to La Cour des Cloches), and follow the road for 1km until you come to some buildings. Turn right here, (another signpost) and follow the road through the vines for 1km. At the junction turn left. Continue on this narrow road for 1km.
